
Terri Lynn Pond, President/CEO
Ms. Pond is the President/CEO of ITC, a 100% certified women owned business. She began ITC in December 2000.
Terri has faced numerous, challenging disaster situations requiring immediate action such as 2004 Asia Tsunami Response to India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka & Thailand; 9-11 World Trade Center; earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, fires, volcanic eruptions, ice storms, and hazardous materials. The ITC team has provided assessments, designed, developed and implemented risk & critical incident management systems along with policies for municipalities and corporate entities.
Terri has been a strategic part of the ITC team maintaining logistics throughout each of the referenced events. She has also been an evaluator on exercises for FDIC and ASDA, UK. In addition, she participated in Project Impact assessing local businesses and schools located in Douglas County, Nevada. Terri is an auxiliary member of Global Partnership for Preparedness (GPP); a 501 C-3 non-profit organization providing support as needed throughout the world.
As President of ITC, Terri is making a difference in the world community by expanding on the humanitarian examples learned from her parents. She remains dedicated to the ideals of generosity and to help others achieve a better quality of life.
Michael Donahe, Chief Operating Officer
Michael Donahe brings over 20 years of operational experience in crisis planning and directing response operations. These events include earthquakes, wildfires, floods, and other natural disasters. Michael also developed and executed plans and exercises for special events and weapons of mass destruction scenarios.
Since 9-11, Michael's focus has been directed towards project management, preparedness focused strategic planning, risk and vulnerability assessments, crisis management planning, security and emergency response planning for corporations and universities.
Recent experience includes assignments as the Project Executive for the Indonesia Tsunami Disaster Response working with the Indonesia government and as Critical Incident Manager supporting a client who experienced a major disaster. He has also held positions as a Senior Vice President at Marsh, Inc. in the Crisis Consulting Practice, and a Director at Kroll Associates in Crisis & Emergency Response Planning.
Michael was the Director of Operations and Professional Services for the Contingency Management practice and Director, Channel Marketing & Sales for software development firms whose primary focus was corporate crisis management and business continuity planning.
While serving as a Senior Operations Sergeant Major for the California Army National Guard, his primary duty was to supervise the daily operations at the Headquarters Joint Operations Center in support of natural disasters and events related to terrorist threats and weapons of mass destruction scenarios. Michael served as the primary point of contact to Federal, State and local agencies in coordinating the Army National Guard's response efforts. His duties also included the review and validation of the response operations plans and procedures. Michael instituted the first Automated Emergency Response System for the California National Guard. This process significantly enhanced California's ability to prepare and respond to emergency incidents.
Tamara Abernathy, Director
Tamara Abernathy joined ITC in 2006 as Director of Finance and Operations. Her expertise in developing contracts, bookkeeping, and project management has proven to be a huge asset and wonderful addition to ITC. She is enthusiastic about the work she does and the holistic way of thinking within ITC. Aside from her role in ITC projects, she is constantly continuing her education to stay current and prepare for the future in the field of Disaster Relief by seeking out and participating in courses, workshops and programs available.
Tamara is always available in the event of disaster and it’s her friendly voice you will hear on the phone when you call ITC. Her involvement in all aspects of ITC and the numerous projects she assists with enables her to help you with any questions you have effectively and in a timely manner. She is considered the ”HUB” of the executive team as she maintains relationships, collaborates with and facilitates communication with customers, contractors and all ITC Team Members.
Tamara has been involved in finance for over six years. She has worked in both the real estate lending fields as well as business consulting. She is a 15 year member of the Girl Scouts of America and is an alumni member of Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternal Organization.
Tamara credits her mother, Terri, to building this company and making a difference in the world for generations to come. Tamara is following in her mother’s footsteps and making a difference in the community by expanding on the humanitarian examples instilled in her by her parents. She remains dedicated to the ideals of generosity and helping others achieve a better quality of life now and in the future.
Passionate about ITC’s future and its possibilities, Tamara hopes to continue bringing new and fresh ideas to ITC to lead them into the 21st Century.
Peter Taranto, Business Development Advisor
Peter is responsible for all operations at I.T. Crisis Services, Inc. (ITC). He comes to ITC from his own successful consulting practice. Previously, Peter was the managing partner for the Storage Solutions Practice at Haines, Cotti, and Associates.
Peter was the Worldwide Director of Marketing for IBM’s removable media business where he was responsible for over 1.2 billion in revenue. He spent over 30 years with IBM holding various management and executive positions. In his career with IBM he managed various sales organizations, was responsible for IBM’s software business for the eleven western states, and helped launch IBM’s HDD OEM business. Several of Peter’s assignments included being responsible for international operating units for IBM.
Peter holds a Bachelor’s degree and MS from Baruch College. He has completed IBM sponsored executive education programs at both the Harvard Business School and the Sloan School of Management.
